The TRIPLEX heart ultrasound scan investigates any hypertrophy of the heart as well as the condition of the valves and the heart muscle. If there are risk factors for cardiovascular diseases (smoking, hereditary history, obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus), it is advisable to repeat the heart ultrasound about once a year.
The stress test, also known as 'treadmill stress test', is a relatively simple, painless and bloodless diagnostic method that helps in the diagnosis and monitoring of coronary artery disease.
A characteristic of the stress test is the performance of controlled physical exercise by the patient under continuous electrocardiographic monitoring both during and after exercise.
