Both are high-spec with advanced software and extremely low radiation levels. DEXA is an effective method for diagnosing and assessing the degree of osteoporosis.

The results are based on the specifications set by the World Health Organization (WHO), which established the DEXA method as the best technique for evaluating bone density in postmenopausal women and men with musculoskeletal problems.
When is a DEXA scan performed
- If you are a woman over 65 or a man over 70
- If you have symptoms of osteoporosis
- If you have had a fracture after the age of 50
- If you are a man aged 50-59 or a postmenopausal woman under 65 with predisposing factors such as corticosteroid use, low body mass index, rheumatoid arthritis, family history of osteoporosis, previous fractures, height loss greater than 2.5 cm, etc.
